China customs policy ajustment
In consideration of continued import security and manifest screening, new regulations have been introduced by the Chinese government and will commence effective from 1st Aug 2018. With the new regulations additional shipper/consignee/notify party information is required and must be submitted prior to cut off.
This additional information is required for both the Air and Sea modes as displayed on Master (MAWB / MBL) and House (HAWB / HBL) bills of lading.
Please be advised failure to comply with these new regulations will result in delays with import clearance in China.
The overall trend of world thermal coal production is similar to the overall trend of world coal production. After being in a low output in recent years in 2016, it began to rebound in 2017, with a growth rate of 4.9%. Although the growth rate of production in 2018 has narrowed (4.4%), it still maintains an increase of 5.98 billion tons. Since thermal coal accounts for 75% of the world's coal production, world coal production is mainly affected by changes in thermal coal production.
