Thermal coal prices at Newcastle port recovered last week to rise again above $70 a tonne, according to data released by globalCOAL trading platform.
As of last Friday (July 5), the price was $72.48 / ton, up 5.33% from the previous week's price of $68.81 / ton, up 0.88% from the previous month's price of $71.85 / ton, down 38.11% from the previous year's price of $117.11 / ton.
